May 8, 2021 - 88-89 An intriguing discovery. A single vineyard Albariño from Calaveras County, California. Organically farmed, planted In the 60s, from an interesting producer concentrating on lesser known varieties from old, forgotten vineyards. I had no idea what to expect when I popped this, but was very pleasantly surprised when I did 🇺🇸

Fresh as a daisy, pale yellow, slightly hazy. Bright green apple and pear concentrate. Wet slate minerality. Subtle grip (skin contact) and bitter phenolic character. Would like to taste in another 5 years.

September 21, 2020 - On the beach with oysters. Oxidized yellow apple, with phenolic bitterness, a mouth watering salinity, and a streak of acidity on the finish. Delicious.
