July 30, 2015 - Ripe syrah, some lift from the viognier, developed nose with hints of "stables" (ie s**t) but plenty of fruit. Hard to tell it's a 2003, I'd have called it '99 blind

December 3, 2013 - Really drinkable now. Nice old stables in the glass, soft as velvet yet with fine and elegant after taste. Leather, prune, burned oak. A really fine wine.

January 19, 2013 - Really open now and lots of flavors. Soft as velvet still with a lot of power. Black fruits, pepper, saddle, sweetness. Complex and overall excellent.

January 14, 2009 - Very dark and some what opaquewith hints of purple. Not that open after initial pour. As time past, aroma opened up. Somewhat blackberry like aroma. Tastes of lavendar. Never fully opened up. 85-90

    July 21, 2007 - This was a changing wine and I should've known.
Open for about 1 hour, just pretty tart, a little thin, slightly mouth puckering, not that enjoyable.
Left another 2 hours with a good shake of the bottle to help the oxygen get to it (no decanter available).
Just completely softened, nose of rasberry, bramble and touch of saddle.
Dark red with some thickness in the mouth.
Tasted fairly round with red and dark berries, touch of oak, soft, velvety tannins, pretty low acid but just enough to cleanse the palate. Not jammy, definitely an easy second buy.
