January 26, 2022 - Flavors of citrus and stone fruit but a bit heavy on oak and diacetyl.

December 12, 2020 - Opens up to reveal a buttery, silky feel

June 22, 2019 - Drank with friends over several nights. No formal tasting notes but this was very enjoyable. Some light citrus and almond flavors.

April 12, 2019 - Second bottle much better than first! Translucent, yellow-green color - cool and inviting. Citrus, white peach, almond paste on the nose; crisp and slightly tart on the attack. Fuller flavored and even somewhat round on the finish. Very good.

October 31, 2018 - Not sure why our experience was so different from other reviewers. Opened and poured at 54 degrees. BIG, OAKY BUTTER BOMB with Rombauer-like pineapple and creme brule - more or less what we've come to expect from Durell (see our review of DuMol, various vintages). Not that there is anything wrong with this (we like DuMol and Rombauer!), but the Sojourn version is just too hamfisted and in your face. Fortunately, after an overnight in the fridge, the wine seemed to settle down and was a bit more enjoyable - albeit still burdened with too much butter and oak. Will be interesting to see what the second bottle does a year from now.
