November 6, 2023 - Dark ruby. Lighter edge. Good legs. Red-purple fruit. Floral. This is a nice mouthful of Bordeaux fruit, quite broad and expansive on the palate; at this price point, you'd expect something a lot thinner and less substantial. Very tasty wine. Who says all good Bordeaux is expensive? 5-12-17-8: 92/100.

September 29, 2021 - Opened last night, this smoothed out nicely. Not quite opaque but good red legs. Nose has nice red currant and an herbal note as well. Medium body, grippy but very good tactile impression. Red fruit stands out. Juicy. relatively long finish. This is pretty good for the money. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.

August 10, 2021 - Popped and poured. Impressive dark cranberry red. Fairly faint red fruit and sawdust aromas right out of the gate. Tasty wine, more expressive in the mouth. Has a slight prune element to it that does not detract but rather lends some interest to the otherwise mostly red berry flavors. Finishes a bit abruptly but not a bad wine--especially for the price. The whole package right now is a bit rustic with some rough edges; we'll see how it shows with more air. For now, if it does not improve: 4-10-14-7: 85/100.

Update on my TN from last night. 24 hours in the bottle overnight in the cellar has smoothed this our nicely, and brought it out of its shell. Even the color looks more impressive. Nice spice and cedar now complement the red berry fruit, which has emerged prettily. Quite flavory, pretty deep and rich, with that vein of what I perceived as prune yesterday becoming more nicely integrated and even more interesting in terms of spice and even a cinnamon element. The rusticity from yesterday has largely abated, though this would never be accused of elegance or femininity. Tasting it now, I can see why I previously called this a tremendous bargain--just give it some air or some time. 5-12-15-8: 90/100.

June 13, 2021 - Classic Bordeaux flavors. Needed an hour decant. Great QPR.
