April 18, 2024 - Nice floral and strawberry nose and fine tannins. But out of balance: the acidity is so high that it has a pixy stix candied sourness. Undeniably nice until you reach that point, the wine suffers from it.

September 22, 2023 - The one with MSD + Bonnes Mares (Chapter 1 Wine Bar): Bright violets, lavender, pomegrate and mulberry come to the fore, the kind that gets you excited in a Mugnier way except this fell flat on its face. Cloves, sandalwood and spice ensue on the palate, alongside an unfathomable amount of kirsch and prunes in an all too ripe fashion. Soft on the exit with smooth tannins and decent acidity but I didn't enjoy this at all. When revealed, I wasn't exactly surprised - I haven't found a Drouhin CSD that I've enjoyed, notwithstanding with my limited dataset.

September 22, 2023 - Morey Saint Denis & Bonne Mares: Already showing well. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of flora, ripe strawberry, toast, earth, red fruits. Medium acidity and medium tannin. Long finish. Drink now or keep with potential.

April 23, 2021 - Birthday Lunch at Les Amis (Les Amis, Shaw House): Lovely stuff. A tad young, but really lovely even now. The nose was really perfumed, almost Chambolle-like, with a lovely blush of rose petals littered over a core of red cherries and slightly darker blueberry notes, these trailing away into a linger of mineral and bramble aromas. There was a hint of oak, but not quite enough to distract. Very nice indeed. The palate was really pretty too, with silky tannins and really lively acidity framing crystal clear flavours of red cherries, again shading in blueberry tones, and then a little trail of spice leading into a lightly mineral finish, again just lightly kissed with a bit of oak. A touch light on its feet for a Grand Cru, and maybe a tad short, but this was a beautifully pure, transparent wine. Elegance in a glass I thought. Drinking nicely after a couple of hours in the decanter now, but it should get better over the next 5 years and beyond. Really enjoyable. 93+
