Community Tasting Notes 2

  • TannicBeast Likes this wine: 88 points

October 31, 2017 - Italian Wine Scholar Course at the Texas Wine School. 100% Gaglioppo. Clear, hazy, medium ruby with garnet hues on the rim. The nose is clean, medium in intensity, with red cherry, red flowers, savory spices, mushrooms, smoke and matchstick aromas. No oak. The palate is dry, with medium acidity, medium to medium (+) tannins and medium alcohol (13.5%). The palate is consistent with the nose and overall is very balanced, with medium body, flavor intensity and length. Drinking well now and for the next several years.
