March 5, 2024 - Almost full bodied, hedonistic, nice fruit, clearly the best Trois Croix I ever had!

  • neomarcel Likes this wine: 91 points

January 11, 2023 - 120 min decanting, short noise, lovely taste, not long in flavour

  • xpwine Likes this wine: 90 points

November 1, 2020 - Light on body at start, a lot of earth after opened up, balanced, not a lot of tannins, very easy to drink

May 16, 2020 - violet rim, let to mature 3-4 years,

    March 10, 2020 - Medium ruby

Nose: Stewed red plum, spicebox, light tar on the back end.

Mouth: Baked bing cherry, red plum, and red currant start off smooth, before turning slightly grainy into the midpalate amidst accents of dried anise, tar, and pipe tobacco. Finish takes over on that note, offering rounded, if burly, tannins to close out on.

Overall: At once svelte and still friendly, this is well balanced around the above core of red fruits, showing good depth to the fruit palate while giving equal weight to the tertiary notes lying in wait. Drinkable now, additional time will help to find its center in the next 2-3 years. Drink now through 2033. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

    91.
