August 3, 2022 - Right in the pocket and satisfying on many levels . The nose is evocative, mixing saddle leather funk with violet florals. The smooth deep palate is varietally true and seemless. Rich pleasing dark berries & savory olive brine with a lick of acidity and cola spice on the long finish. Wish I had more of this.

July 29, 2021 - Deep ruby. Funky black fruit and juniper on the nose.
Funk and tapenade on the dark-fruited palate. Intense tannins and medium acidity with a medium plus finish. Outstanding. -

May 1, 2017 - Interesting nose - almost floral, wet hay but fairly faint overall. Nose was indicative of the wine...everything seems subdued. I'm usually very happy with the flavor profile of Cowhorn Syrah but this one fell a little flat - muddled through the mid palate and not much length on the finish. Started opening up a bit more after a couple hours. Try giving this one a longer decant next time.
