Joe the Critic Does not like this wine: 50 points
December 6, 2016 - After opening three bottles, two were drinkable but slightly off, with muted fruit (not at all a Kabinett quality of fruit), a bit of spritz, and a faint chemical note. The third bottle tasted strongly of paint thinner or acetone.
I believe this wine was either contaminated in the cellar or ruined during shipment. It's surprising that K&L would sell this at all, but I should have learned my lesson by now.
FYI, this is one of my favorite producers, and in the past they have produced delicious Kabinett wine from this vineyard. Something has gone badly wrong. -
