February 16, 2018 - D+0h: no deposit in the filter nor the bottle, smells of cherry and elderberry D+4h: cherry red colour, smells of elderberry, cherry and a little bit of smoke, light body, in the mouth elderberry, cherry and a little bit of acidity, has a dash of residual sugar without leaving the ‘dry’ range, in the aftertaste elderberry and a little bit of smoke, pretty good length (25 sec), good Pinot Noir for a small price

August 16, 2017 - Screwcap. Very good made pinot with clean varietal appearance. Juicy, light, succulent, grippy, pronounced acidity, ripe. Maybe still too young, but lacking some unity, the wine is very good by parts, but feels a bit disjointed at this moment.

May 3, 2017 - From the first bottled tried 9 months ago or so when I had notes that it needed time to come together as it was rather "sharp", I now experienced a harmonious and focused wine.

Cherries, rasberries, smokiness and spices. Long finish. In short a well made balanced wine punching above it's price level!

October 13, 2016 - Bit confused by the many Becker pinot noirs / spätburgunders but certainly it is (one of) their base pinot noirs and certainly it is quite incredible for a base wine.

Experienced wine drinkers know that feeling when it's clear the master has lifted only half the weight he actually can but has done so in a manner and with an elegance which elevates him instantly above the rest who lifted the same, or even higher weights. In fact I tasted this along with other producers' higher placed pinot noirs which all had 'more' to show here and there (including price), and yet this was the best.

Great, classical pinot noir scent. In the mouth, terrific balance - this is impeccable stuff, has body and content while having zest and remaining fresh and well drinkable as well. Carved of one piece of rock.
    Great dynamics there.
    Good stuff.
    88p.

    - and BTW quite unbelievable QPR at 10 or 11 EUR, I'm gonna invest in a good number of bottles.

    - and makes me very curious on this winemaker's more expensive wines. Perfect base wine, then.

May 15, 2016 - Tasted in flight on Japan Airlines. Subtle nose of red fruits with a bit of petrol. Palate is austere with minerality and underripe blackberries. Maybe not the most exciting or expressive wine ever but nothing terrible either.
