February 20, 2024 - Definitely near the end of the drinking window. Acid and fruit are barely hanging on. Time to pop n pour.

April 8, 2023 - drinking very well now but can go 2-3 more

April 2, 2022 - Drinking well right now. Lighter fruit notes and tertiary notes of tobacco leather pepper and earthy notes on bouquet. Tannins are very smooth and wine remains very well balanced with good acidity. On palate but if dark cherry touch of vanilla and cigar box with slight spice. Medium oak. Better after a couple hour decant which suggests still has some time. Too bad last oneā€¦

December 29, 2021 - Black Hills Syrah Vertical - 2014 to 2019: Had blind as part of a 2014 to 2019 BH Syrah vertical.

Dark colour. Smooth, with subtle green pepper notes. Difficult to have picked out it was the oldest wine.

    Ranked 1 of 6.
