May 23, 2022 - Totally agree with Blair Curtis and David J Cooper.

April 17, 2022 - At nearly 10 years of age, this cru Barolo is in a nice window to drink...it is still young, but is now displaying nice luscious red and black fruit. Complex wood notes and a bit of leather in there also. I have opened 3 bottles of this so far in 2022 and all have been quite enjoyable. A decant of a couple hours yields an even better showing, but is not essential. Last night's bottle was a pop and pour enjoyed over the course of a 2-hour dinner. The food improved the wine - after all it is still young Barolo and still has a lot of fine tannins. So there is no rush to drink this. I expect it will continue to develop and smooth out over the next 10 more years. But also fun to drink it now as a youthful option. Nice to have these more forward 2012s to drink while waiting on 2010s and 2013s.

January 17, 2022 - Clear light red with a bit of brown. Medium intense nose, earth, cherry, currants, nutmeg and a bit of old wood. Dry delicious earthy cherry and spice flavours. The finish was tannic but in a non aggressive sort of way.

I am very happy to drink this now. I am not sure it could get any better for my palate.

September 21, 2020 - Very light bright red. Medium minus intensity, black cherry fruit, burning peat and some dried mushroom. Bright cherry and black currant flavours and a very tannic finish.

Decanted for a hour or so then re decanted because of some sediment. Definitely hold these for another 5 years or so.
