Community Tasting Notes 1

May 18, 2016 - A business lunch (Restaurant Rijks, Amsterdam, NL): After the successful 2011, this 2012 vintage is a further step up for this Meursault / Puligny blend. It is a complete and typical white Burgundy, with racy acidity (especially for the ripe and often soft 2012 vintage), ripe pear fruit, tropical note and a cool mineral core; good flavour intensity, but the oak bitters seem a little more present than in the 2011 and appear slightly rustic; good flavour persistence.
