January 26, 2024 - Bought a case of 6 bottles in 2007, this is the last one. It was no doubt better the first 10-12 years. Back then, it was a pure joy and a wine to remember. It has lost some fruit sonce then. Still, it is healthy and balanced. In one aspect it has improved. More subtle, more layers. My advice- drink now, but no need to panic. It is bit sad that this is the last one.

January 9, 2024 - Hmm. While the nose was an appealing mix of cranberry and cherry, the palate was mostly tannins, lacking in fruit or even much interest. A few off notes (soap?) that I tried to resolve with a few hours but not cleaned up. Seems like one of those overly structured 2005s that has outlived its fruit perhaps. Happily most of the ‘05s I’ve opened have been youthful and delicious, so this is a rare experience for me. No rating.

November 16, 2023 - These tannins may take some time to resolve. Double decanted, cherries and grittiness.

April 14, 2023 - lovely wine and probably at its peak - no sign at all of any green taint - delicious!

April 11, 2023 - quite good, and quite ready (though no hurry). Moderate acids, just a tinge of tannin, black cherry with cocoa and spice notes. Nice texture, good length. B+/B
