January 12, 2017 - Iconic mature Israeli wines (at my home): transparent golden yellow
rich nectar honey-comb orange-peel nose, with tropical fruits notes
dense, silky, round and very sweet palate, excellent balance 7 harmony, high acidity level, solid structure, fair complexity, delicate finish and aftertaste
can age well 15-20 years more

January 12, 2017 - Tel Aviv tasting of mature high-end Israeli wines (Yagil Berel's home): A lovely dessert wine, pale yellow in the glass. Recently bottled, and as sometimes happens, the nose is currently rather shut down, and shows as muted and dusty peaches or perhaps yellow gooseberries, but the flavors of orange muscat simply coat the palate, really delicious to sip. Quite sweet, long finish. They describe this as Gewurtzraminer but I find absolutely none of the characteristic Gewurtz spice and oil (I would have guessed that this was a sweet Semillon). A great pairing with chocolate cake. If you own this, hold for a year to let the nose reopen.

    perfumed sweet nectar nose
rich tropical fruits flavours, dense, sweet nectar, well balanced , harmonised and structured, excellent finish

August 13, 2016 - Need twenty minutes to sort itself out. After that nice dry Gewürztraminer with good structure and mouthfeel but lacking the explosion of flavor of the best Alsace variations.
