June 21, 2021 - From my posting on Instagram:
In Vino Veritas (in wine there is truth; people speak the truth when they are drunk), bottle #139 of my cellar sacrifices.
A 2014 Red Wine, Three by Wade, a Napa blend of many wines, including Syrah, Zin, Cab, Petite Sirah, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. A major identity crisis here. Although it was inexpensive, it was very dark and bold, with good acid and dark fruit. ๐ท๐ท๐ ๐#wine #winelover #winelovers #redblend #redblendwine #cabernetsauvignon #petitesirah #petitesyrah #petitverdot #napawine #napa

October 3, 2020 - Used for cooking an Italian roast. Had a taste though and it was enjoyable. It has improved over the last couple of years.

February 21, 2020 - Medium, Ruby. One the nose, medium(-) intensity with red fruit - Plum and ripe cranberry. High alcohol that is noticeably hot. Medium acid, intensity and finish. One the palate, more black and blue fruits (black plum, Black Raspberry) and noticeable chocolate and vanilla on the finish. Overall a fairly simple wine that I wouldn't age more than 1-2 years and will not improve much at this point.

March 13, 2018 - Not sure about the candied-herbal presentation here. We paired with filets, and I admittedly was in the mood for darker, more brooding. A bit out of my preference zone in general.

March 1, 2018 - Didn't note the first one, as it was consumed with family after Thanksgiving dinner and not really evaluated, but it was a crowd pleaser for sure, and with this bottle I can see why.
I actually didn't care for this on the pop, as it had that fake, candied fruit thing going on that I'm really not a fan of, but it really smoothed out with 30 mins. to an hour+ of air. Medium (+) purplish ruby color. Aromas of blue, black, and dark red fruits, vanilla, sarsaparilla, cinnamon, cedar, clove, herbs, and dried flowers and leaves. Really nice on the nose. Medium body and acid, pretty good length that's drawn out a bit by the spice on the back endโsweet fruit on entry and mid palate's a little hollow, but finishes dry and spicy, and overall pretty good package, with flavors of blue and dark red fruits, cola, cinnamon, dark chocolate, walnuts, and spice. Generous and crowd pleasing, but with some complexity as well. Well played, Dwyane & Jayson.
55% Syrah, 18% ZInfandel, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petite Syrah, 6% Merlot 2% Petite Verdot
