December 31, 2023 - Four hour decant. While still a bit tight, this started to open nicely and and reveal bright red fruits, grilled capsicum, earthy notes and some tobacco-like herbs. Fine acidity and minerality is accompanied with moderate tannins that are starting to resolve. Drink after a good decant or hold.

December 24, 2023 - Definitely young, but starting to open. Strong red fruit characters, starts to feel almost plush, but then the strong tannins and moderate acidity come around. Finishes long. This should significantly improve given the density of fruit here.

July 2, 2023 - Quite a serious nose here, very tightly wound with dense fruit, but for me still a classic Chinon in the sense that despite the ripeness of 2015, there is a dark mineral element at play and a cool freshness running through things; delicious, classy fruit on the palate with tannins fully resolved - depending on how you like your wine, this could be cellared further but for our tastes its in a good place right now. Excellent.

May 11, 2023 - This wind really turned the corner from the last time I had it a couple years ago. I don’t think I would pick chinon but more a really good New World cab Franc. 1 hour in and its really starting to sing. Black cherry, red bell pepper still significant tannin. I have a few bottles left. It’ll be wonderful to taste in three or four more years. I’m drinking half the bottle tonight the other half tomorrow.
Day 2: Rough edges all rounding out really good right now but still more a New World cab Franc. absolutely delicious

February 8, 2023 - Nez poivron grillé, fumée, fruits noirs.en bouche tout en rondeur, ampleur et longueur moyenne. À mon avis, méritait une meilleure note
