March 28, 2022 - Almost could be confused with Burgundy. Nice red fruit. Lots of tertiary development of saddle leather and earth. Medium finish. In decline.

June 21, 2010 - What a nice Brunello, Dark fruits on the nose followed by a little earthyness. Some hints of mushroom and a little spice wit ha hint of liqurice. Nice meduim body wine with a beatiful smooth finish.Drinking very nicely right now!!!

October 12, 2009 - Clearing and bricking rim... moderate + depth of color, hazy. Plenty going on aromatically with a lot of tertiary elements... mushroom, pine bark... lots of tea spices from barrique, good core of red > dark fruits with macerated dark cherry notes. On the palate a slow, firmly acidic ascent into a rounded midpalate... very smooth transition into a full and completely integrated moderate + ripe tannin finish. Certainly balanced, very good intensity and complexity, length is moderate + at 30 sec or so. Not really a wine of great finesse (but IMO aged Brunellos are always a little muddled)... texture is good but a little diffuse, very Brunello in character. This wine is drinking very well right now and I wouldn't let it go any longer... excellent wine.
