June 10, 2020 - I looked forward to opening this PN/Grenache blend on a warm, muggy Oakland evening. AWFUL & we have two more bottles!
Nose: mix of raspberry soda pop & sourdough starter - slightly yeasty (not bready), but with an acidic punch.
Palate: Really sour cherries - raspberries. Kind of the taste of bad, jug mid-60's rose without the sweetness. (& I LOVE Navarro's tart, Chard. Verjus with sparkling water.) Tried to drink it with grilled chicken & potatoes & salad.
Diluted it with a lot of sparkling water - then it was like sour soda pop. I wasted the fizzy water which would have been put to better use in an Aperol Spritz! My spouse hated it, too. What a disappointment. No better the next night. -

December 16, 2019 - Most likely on its way down, so worth opening if you've not already. This remains tart and acidic. Its not all that enjoyable on its own, and may be a style that is not appealing to some, but it should pair well with certain styles of food.

December 29, 2017 - Light and crisp - very much in the style of Forlorn Hope wines. That “tart” cherry upon opening - high acidity and as such a good food wine. Drink now or over the next year or two.
