November 30, 2019 - Solid Kabinett Riesling from a very good vintage. Fragrant in that peony, grapefruit way and lightly fresh, if a bit on the sweet side. Likely intended for current drinking. I do not sense it has the structure to remain as attractive as it is now over the medium or long haul.

January 30, 2019 - So expressive from this tiny 8% intro from Fritz Haag. Strong diesel, smoke, pencil shavings, honeyed tangerine, green aloe, and white flowers. Weighty texture meets zippy flashy acid.

August 21, 2018 - A bit gassy on opening but it blew off and was quite delicious. Unpretentious Riesling with fine varietal character, beautifully balanced between the crisp/tart/savory and the honeysuckle/sybaritic.

June 7, 2018 - This is my first time trying the 2015 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Kabinett. I drank a lot of 2015 Kabinetts which were all quite approachable at this relatively early stage. This one was different. The wine has a lot of baby fat it needs to lose with overripe peach, yellow apple, honey, candied lemon, and flowers. It tasted more like a Spätlese and was much better the second day. I would wait another 3+ years!
