August 17, 2021 - Very good Pinot Noir and surprising for California. The cool weather of Marin certainly assists. While overly fruity when young this has mellowed into a well rounded wine. I suspect more years would be of further benefit. We will see.

November 26, 2020 - A little spicy, dark fruits, smooth tannins, mostly dry, slight notes on herbs on the finish.

August 8, 2020 - Medium to full bodied, fruit forward, but not red ripe fruit, no sweetness. Went great with filet mignon

August 6, 2020 - Wow, is this the same wine that I tasted and scored 18 months ago?? This bottle was an oak bomb from the first whiff through the finish. The dark fruit is sufficient but it gets overwhelmed by the oak. It actually paired just fine with every dish we had but was not at all what I was expecting. Very unusual for a D-G wine.

May 30, 2020 - Decanted into a tall one about 45 minutes before drinking, that worked well. This didn't evolve noticeably over the 2+ hours it was drank, which was without food. It showed with a medium purple color. Had a nice body heft that wasn't too much. On the nose and palate it was more dark-fruited than red with blueberries, blackberries, hints of sous boi, and brambles. The acid had settled nicely integrated into the fruit and tannins such that this didn't bite. It seemed like it was peaking, but will probably still drink very well for at least another 2-3 years before beginning to fade. Great stuff!
