Other what was just stated, the bottle and cork were in pristine condition. The wine did show some very slight oxidative notes but there was plenty of ripe red fruit and tar as well. Very enjoyable.

  December 12, 2019 - Dark red color and a bit cloudy. Some funk in the bouquet. On the palate, earthy and dank, but just enough fruit and acidity to hold things together and provide some enjoyment. This bottle was well past its prime.

  July 5, 2018 - Not sure why, this just never ends up being a producer that speaks as much to me. The wine is definitely in a nice spot right now. The nose is a bit off - smells like a musty attic - but that doesn't translate to the taste. It's got a good aged side to it. Quicker finish than I would have liked. It's a good wine, but given price on the menu was looking for something a bit more like very good.
