December 9, 2009 - This was not much like my other ratings. Although this still has earth, tobacco, oak, and dark fruits... I feel this is actually tighter now with more tannins than it was even two years ago. Going to try my last bottle next fall to see.

February 26, 2009 - I've had this wine two times before and had liked it quite a bit. This bottle however was too oaky and hot. There is dense fruit there but it is very much masked by the oak and alcohol. Not as enjoyable as previous times.

December 5, 2007 - Nose is earth, green pepper, vegetable notes...some leathery and tobacco notes as well. Flavor is rather different with deep fruits, some spices and still some solid tannins. Great with grilled meats. Not what is was 6 months ago...but feel like it could develop more.
