  July 9, 2016 - A blend of Primitivo (45%), Negroamaro (40%), CS (10%) and Merlot (5%).
  
  Almost opaque, dark cherry color with youthful purple hue. Ripe, rich and youthful nose of rather monotonous, sweet blackcurrant fruit with nuances of sun-baked earth and plummy fruit in the background. Quite full-bodied, succulent and rather sweet mouthfeel (10 g/l RS) with dark-toned flavors of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries, some blackberry jam, a little peppery spice, a hint of bitterness and a touch of Van Houten cocoa powder. The wine has smooth, soft tannins and moderate acidity. As the wine aereates, the wine gets more full-bodied and jammier; the acidity gets drowned under the fruit and sweeter notes of vanilla emerge. In the rather simple, medium-length finish there is some disjointed bitterness that really does not feel in the place in this wine, with flavors of ripe blackcurrant, some blackberry jam and a hint of alcohol warmth. As the wine gets warmer, the alcohol burn gets more pronounced.
  
  So much nope. The wine itself is utterly boring and nondescript effort, but it is made even more off-putting with its horrible, outdated "a wine for aspiring gentlemen" label, giving the wine an additional dimension of fug. Not recommended and a poor purchase at 11,99€.
