February 1, 2021 - Clear light golden yellow with a intense nose of green apples, pears, pineapples and ripe yellow pomelo fruits with strong floral (think yellow freesias) lift and some mineral overtones. The palate is medium-bodied, very balance, refreshingly drinkable, very aromatic but gradually recedes into a somewhat sweet and oily but undefined watery blur. The flavor profiles include, ripe pomaceous fruits from the Maleae family; pineapples; ripe Southeast Asian citrus; a slight hint of smoke and earth. This Pinot Gris is very delicious and easy drinking wine that will go wonderfully with pan-seared scallops or any of the wide array of fishes (Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Halibut etc.) . Somehow, this reminds me of a very young and lively NZ Chardonnay more than the Pinot Gris that I tried last year in terms of its overall characteristics and appearance. I’m admittedly late in the drinking window according to CT but I think its still holding up pretty well. This is a simple but super tasty wine that is showing extremely well tonight!

April 10, 2017 - Plush and fragrant, like Catonese poaching liquid, giving way to some very ripe exotic fruits that waver on the sweet side. Lively and pleasurable, but a little shouty at the expense of layered finesse. You get a rush of a lot of great stuff that quickly dissipates despite a rather racy quality, but it's a lovely punch in the face with each sip.

January 16, 2017 - New Zealand London Annual Trade Tasting (Lindley Hall, Royal Horticultural Halls): Beautiful, round, fruit with some biscuit notes, ripe stone fruit and a refreshing herbal note.
The palate is rich, copying the nose, ripe, rich, med to high acidity, bright, lively, med finish -

September 26, 2016 - saline fresh nose, a little ginger
Touch grassy, soft even a little sweet
Delicate with some candied ginger and a little length
Found this just a little too whispery and delicate
