February 4, 2023 - Superb from start to finish. Deepest red and purple in glass, truly gorgeous to the eye, lovely nose apparent, lofting red fruit and blackberry, floral notes, later adding richer savory notes. Nicely integrated tannin that had slightest edge to start and then became texture for the palate, silky as phishkey said. Deep red, purple fruit, morphing with earth, olive, herb on long finish. I'd say luxurious but that makes it sound over the top, which it was not. Great alone and with beef carbonnade. Small amount on day 2, retained all same qualities, but with more herbal, olive showing.

July 31, 2021 - Beautiful fruit and mouthfeel. Blueberry, smoked meat, silky finish. Such a fabulous Hudson Syrah.

January 26, 2021 - Deep purplish ruby red. Dark nose with berries, cured meats, dark cocoa, spices and herbs. Medium plus bodied with medium tannins (6/10). Lush and layered palate with dark earth, spices, savory and black fruits. Looking finish. Drink till 2025.

December 22, 2020 - 120 cases: 35% whole-clusters during fermentation: Opened about 3 hours before pouring, poured to reveal an incredibly dark and concentrated purple to black wine, striking. The intensity of the color was followed by rich blackberry and blackcurrant fruit on the nose. As the wine swirled further smokey meat, blueberry, licorice and damp earth joined in. On the palate wine presents a structured core of youthful tannins and fair acidity with flavors following through. There is a nice persistent quality to the juicy mouthfeel that end with lengthy blackberry and dark plum lingering finish.
