December 24, 2007 - Light lemon, grass, little floral and mineral with some saltiness to it. By itself would give an 87. With the water chestnuts wrapped in bacon - an 89.

August 6, 2007 - Very good sancerre. Nose is very lemony, honydew, mineral and a tad salty.
Refreshing and live, lemon and minerality are all over with a somewhat creamy feeling but with still a great acidity.

July 18, 2007 - Straw yellow. Pears, with a little bit of an oak nose. The taste was fruity and buttery, much too much so for a SB. A much too flabby wine, which wasn't helped by the fact that the waiter served it too warm.

June 12, 2007 - Very light color - and not sweet or fruity. The wife said lemon and metal. I noted the acidity and the smell of being in my yard - grass or bushes? We both enjoyed it with a plate of crackers, cheeses, olives and vegetables.

March 22, 2007 - Once Upon a Vine XIII - New Orleans, LA by Martin Wine Cellar (Pavillion of Two Sisters): I found this to be reasonably decent, albeit very interesting. It would probably go better with food and compliment sweeter seafood like crab and scallops or really rich buttery sauces quite well. Very light color, only slightly tinted. Super bright acidity that really wows you on the tongue. The nose and the palate, more than anything else, remind me of clean linen........you know, the smell of fresh linen, and the scent that air fresheners and sprays have called "fresh linen". Tons of chalky minerals that almost overwhelm the hints of papaya, mango, apple, and coconut. There is the slightest hint of freshly cut grass, as well. I enjoyed this, although it is certainly a wide departure from the white wines that I taste most often.

August 2, 2006 - Vinsanity Tasting at Mekong in Richmond, VA (Mekong Restaurant, Richmond, VA): A riper nose than the Cherverny we tasted before it. Tropical fruit and more than a little chalky. In fact, I might have said Muscadet if tasting blind. The palette show a nicely balanced wine with lemmon, apple and some zippy acid. A nice Sancerre, I'd try again.

July 10, 2006 - $27.99 full retail. Fairly open, textbook Sancerre aromas of grass and citrus. On the palate, more of the same, with freshly cut grass and lemon; assertive, though balanced acidity. Very nice.
