Community Tasting Notes 6

April 27, 2018 - Modest seashell-iness to the palate. Subtle and easy drink. Co-op established in 1923. They vinify 25% of all Chablis. 280 growers in the co-op, 3100 acres. Chablisienne has 7.2ha of the 9.3ha of Grenouilles.

October 7, 2017 - The wine looks light blonde colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral. It tastes like lemon. The body is light/medium. The wine has angular texture. The wine has low acidity.
This petit chablis is quite enjoyable . A nice discovery and a good value for money

September 20, 2017 - A better showing than the last bottle. The fruit was much more pronounced. The nose is still a bit reticent.

May 23, 2017 - clear, pale lemon; clean, pronounced nose of grapefruit, mineral, grass; dry, medium acid, low tannins, light body, lemon, grapefruit, mineral, brine, oyster, short finish; very light, but with fairly strong seafood characters!

December 4, 2016 - Chablis: Light yellow color. Aromas of green apples, peach, hints of sea breeze and chalk dust. Medium/light bodied but a vibrant and creamy texture balanced off of bright acidity. Yellow and green apple, lime zest, the fruit mixes with honey, salted almond and chalk notes. A bit simple, but very pleasant and delicious, a great introduction to the wines of Chablis. For my palate, this destroys a lot of California Chardonnays at the same price-point.
