Community Tasting Notes 4

    March 8, 2020 - Single blind tasting
    Dark straw color
Medium to medium - aromatics of almond blossom and water. No oak
Medium palate with medium + acidity that is short in length with a linear versus decrescendo pattern in the mouth. Medium phenolic bitterness and medium + alcohol. Unexpected lack of fruit or other secondary characteristics. This is clearly a structural wine
Balance is certainly off given the absence of fruit.
Finish is medium length with a creamy and bitter carry.
I gave it a 90 due to it's structural characteristics

    March 6, 2020 - Light gold color - crystal
Medium aromas of almond blossom/ ripe stone fruit with mild honeyed aspect
Medium palate - quite dense with fine structure and not much fruit - maybe unripe stone fruit
Medium plus acidity on upper and lower palate - again adding to the broad mouthfeel
Medium phenolic bitterness and long finish due to all the above
Not the best Verdicchio out there but well made and the structure is great
Nice wine for the money without a doubt

June 15, 2017 - Yellow green color; very floral, green fruit, crisp acid with enough fat and mineral; good.

December 21, 2016 - 45F PnP Light yellow . Nice nose with honeysuckle, apple, stone. Light and clean with right amount of acid conterbalancing mild mixed fruit, hint of bitter herb and saline/stone. Shortish finish, all put together well. Good as appertif, perhaps with sight fish. Great QPR. Will be crowd pleaser.
