Community Tasting Notes 9

September 11, 2021 - Showing more aged appearance compared to my last bottle with pale tawny core and brick red hues.
Initial developed nose of brown spice, prune, orange peel and slight nutty notes. Slowly evolve to show cherry, bramble fruits, candy, liqueur and sweet liquorice.
Sweet red berry on entry, supple and mellow mouthfeel, amazing freshness on palate with full flavours of plum, black cherry, candy, pepper and liquorice. Long satisfying finish with soft and Velvety tannins.
Still holding well after 16 years and such a nice bottle that can be enjoyed on its own.

June 25, 2016 - Medium dark ruby, with brick red hue showing maturity. Aromas of rose petal, rustic red fruits and raspberry intermix with earth and leather, showing some secondary development, elegant and complex. Light and mellow on palate, soft and elegant sweet red fruits along with berry, chocolate, hints of earth and sweet barnyard notes. Supple and sweet long finish with soft and almost dissolved tannins. It is a wine to be drunk now. 16% alcohol well contain and showing good balance.

November 2, 2012 - A bit too jammy right now. Too young. Also, too much heat at this point. Potential though.

September 12, 2011 - Needed some air for the nose to shine. Lots of Cherries, Rasberries and a lick of Chocolate. A little like a Turkish Delight in a bottle. Medium bodied at best. In a really good place now. Lovely.

May 30, 2010 - More weight than the bottle I had 12 months ago. Fruit was slightly stewy but held its alc. well.

Reckon good bottles have 3-5 yrs left.
