April 1, 2024 - O hell yes. Grilled peaches with thick black strapped grate marks. Smoke and char, honey and blood orange and little pricks of jasmine. Tastes like sour apricot marmalade and bitter grapefruit pith in a perfectly medium body.

June 27, 2023 - Fifteen months on from my last note, why did I not buy more or drink less earlier?!
This just gets better with ripe nectarines, crisp acidity, great balance and length. Pure joy although it has now reached its peak. Drink up.

    March 22, 2022 - Wow!
I have noted the 2016 and 2018 but finally am writing a note on this.
Colour: med gold, just a tiny hint of brown, bright, clear.
Nose: full, ripe, pure, delicious varietal notes, honeysuckle, floral, apple
Taste: light body, not that rounded but more acidic at first, apples, citrus, long dry finish, apples, almond, ripe, great balance between fruit and acidity.
Overall, probably my best bottle of this vineyard. Moving from primary to secondary flavours. Develops pure flavours of mirabelle that delight in their ripeness.

May 1, 2020 - Very attractive dry Riesling. Honey, petrol, melon, lemon on the nose, and a lemony tart, slightly herbal palate. Good balance and length. Tasty.

January 6, 2019 - A.J. Adam is of my top five of my favorite producers of my favorite white grape. I adore all styles of Riesling and while it happens I may drink more Kabinett than anything, I like to juxtapose with drier styles whenever I can find good bottlings.

This is my first time trying the pale gold Trocken of the heralded Hofberg vineyard, some of the steepest dirt anywhere grapes grow in the world. The 2015 was a warmer vintage and this bottling is less austere and steely than in previously cooler years. It has burnt matchstick, honey, lime blossom, and wet slate. It's full bodied with striking acid and a powerhouse of flavors - fumey petrol, grapefruit pith, and salty lime.

Citrus driven as cool smokey elements waft in the background.
