  December 14, 2017 - After an hour of air, strawberry and blackberry with a hint of graphite on the nose. Reasonably balanced fruit and oak on the palate. The finish is very hot with alcohol, nearly a deal breaker.

  P: M, poss LM, body; Almost swtish frt with a bit of richness met by some mid-P astringency which transitions into a LONG, almost swtish finish with the BAREST hint of bitterness. DESERVES/(needs?) into mid-Summer '18, poss late Winter '19, then drinking for several yrs more. VERY nice QPR in a fairly sophisticated style for this vendor's [likely out] $7.95 price pt. [In late April 2018 wine-searcher lists 2 sources in the $11-$13 range.]

  January 24, 2017 - Hot nose. After that, blackberries and vanilla. Balanced tartness and lively tannins. Great QPR. Drink now!
