Community Tasting Notes 32

February 21, 2024 - Nose: sweet fruit and laurel. Taste: sweet, red and dark fruit, peppery and with a note of laurel. Still fine drying tannins left, but more developped than two years ago. At the third day less tannins and a greenish note, that tasted not like paprika. No complexity or real depth, but still an attractive wine, that might still be better after one or two years of keeping from now. 88-89.

March 2, 2023 - A very typical Bordeaux but without the big price tag. This is medium in many aspects - body, tannin, acid, and finish. Cassis, blueberry flavors are accompanied by a hint of cedar. Nice wine, great value.

September 3, 2022 - Kept under condition 2 (see my profile) since september 2017. Color: dark ruby, troubled, rather typical for Medoc 2014, at this age with a brown hue. This wine has clearly develloped since 2020. The fruit is more clear, the tannins are more resolved - there was rather much deposit -, but not really integrated. Is that stage yet to come, or is this wine already over its top? Still two bottles to find out. To wait one year with that. 88.

July 6, 2022 - Lovely Bordeaux blend drinking well now. Cork broke on opening, but the wine itself was fine..Amazing QPR at circa $10!

June 14, 2022 - A fair amount of barnyard out of the bottle that took a good hour to blow off. Afterwards cassis, dried blueberries, cranberries, graphite, dirt and dried herbs. Surprisingly velvety mouth feel. Good flavors, good complexity. This was sneaky good. 91++
