April 1, 2018 - Seder 2. Delicious apple pineapple. Good balance.

  • WineTally Likes this wine:

September 9, 2017 - 100% Riesling hand-harvested and fermented with wild yeasts in old, wooden casks in a deep, cool cellar.

A(ccuracy)=2: Bright pale straw. Focused, floral, petrol, mineral.
B(alance) =3: Fruit forward yet backed by vibrant acid structure.
C(omplexity)=2: Apple, pear, peach, hint of honey, flint, saline minerality. Sweetness bit simple as yet.
D(epth) = 2: Excellent length, finish and aftertaste.

    Wine Tally Score [2,3,2,2] = 9/10

Ultra traditional style: terroir-driven and cask produced.

September 5, 2017 - Light straw in color. Light nose of floral origins. Stone fruits on the palate with a touch of acid bursting through. Clear and easy to drink, medium in weight for a Kab. Long legs that finish sour apple. ..almost green jolly rancher in taste.

  • Beerzebub Likes this wine:

September 2, 2017 - Fresh peach/nectarine/boysenberry with floral, herbaceous, and stony accents. Terrific balance between moderate sweetness and tart acidity. Nice overarching freshness, full of life, good stuff.

June 13, 2017 - My 2nd sound bottle of this. Just cracking on both days 1 and 2. I haven't checked the sugar harvest levels, but this bottle straddles that Kabinett/Spatlese line of ripeness, but still very light on its feet. I get distinct pineapple notes on the nose and palate. Excellent acidity and a nice clean finish. It's not a contemplative wine at this stage, although I'm sure it can age into something great, but right now I'm loving this bottle and sad that it's my last.
