April 29, 2022 - This has big fruit bursting over the med+ bodied wine - a touch out of balance - bold black fruits - black plum, black cherry, spice, mocha / dark chocolate. Lacks structure and although intense, falls a bit flat.

August 7, 2021 - This is a delicious Amarone from Italy. Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked strawberries, spices, light vegetables, herbs, chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso and vinaigrette.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins.

This 8 year old Amarone is drinking very nicely now, although it seems that it saw better times. A little overripe now, but still delicious. Showing great complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

I let it open for 2 hours. Died after 4 hours.

I paired it with cheeses, olives and crackers.

A blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Aged for 24 months in oak barrels.

    15% alcohol by volume.

    93 points.

    $20(current vintage).

March 28, 2019 - Amarone Valpolicella iqs far different from so much of what you buy for this grape. This wine is big, deep and full. Big flavors. Dark fruits, a hint of vanilla with some mineral. Can stand up well to red meats.

Do recommend decanting for 30 minutes or more to let it open up.

    July 9, 2017 - I confess up front I love Amarone.

I read a review elsewhere that suggested a three-hour decanting. I of course tasted before the elapse to get the evolution. Three hours or so into the exposure this wine was everything you could ask for in a young Amarone: elegant yet assertive; speaking to you from the ancient soils and old vines if the region.

I love Italy. I love Italian wines.

    This is a beauty...
