March 23, 2024 - Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Wine Dinner (Buona Terra Italian Restaurant Singapore): Pronounced nose intensity with notes of flora, mushroom, red cherries, strawberry, spices, toast. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Long finish.

March 23, 2024 - Dinner with Marie Andree Mugneret (Buona Terra): Pronounced aroma of earth, leather, blueberry, mint, incense, pure on the palate but not showing much in flavours, spice, lavender, fine silky tannins with good acidity.

March 23, 2024 - TBC - Unsurprisingly most complex wine of the line up after the villages and 1er Cru. Combination of black fruits as expected from 15 and interspersed red fruit. Super nose. This is very early days for this as the nice tannic grip suggests. Marie-Andree Mugneret telling the story how they got hold of the Ruchottes together with Charles Rousseau.

June 16, 2022 - Well I really screwed this one up. Based on a miscommunication between me and my wife, we opened this instead of a Riesling that had a few years of bottle age. What frustrated me the most were the secondary and tertiary flavor notes I was getting. The most prevalent was an earthy, mushroomy, umami note. I can only imagine what this could have been. A very costly mistake.
