    April 13, 2024 - At GD tasting menu….375ml
Really open for business with just enough sweetness and earthy core. Great showing

February 24, 2024 - Unfortunately this was lightly corked.

February 2, 2024 - Still deep red - drying out a little but still drinking well.

January 13, 2023 - DnP. Overall same impression as previous bottles but this bottle is a bit more acidic and thus less balanced.
    Exiting to try next bottle….

December 10, 2022 - Popped and poured, but a gentle decant would not have hurt at all. Red brick on the rim then shading to plum at the core. This is a youthful 22 year old wine. The bouquet is initially dusty rose, then livens with cassis, plum and red currants. As the wine opens, notes and flavors of leather, cedar and a bit of tobo leaf emerge. This is drinking very well right now. Probably no reason to continue to hold these, but I likely will. Some chunky sediment. 13% alc. With petit beef filets. 12.10.22. Recommended leaning toward Highly Recommended.

Rockss and Fruit

(Chateau de Fieuzal) This was nice but boring and a bit flawed. Just not that polished but had nice Pessac character and some clunkiness. Lots of tobacco and dark cassis but somewhat angular and a touch overripe.

(De Fieuzal) Oaky nose but classic hints of scorched earth, weedy tobacco, flint, smoke, earth and a hint of black cherry. Massively constituted in the mouth with explosive fruit and tannin. More on the black fruit side with a candied element to it. Tannins are big and chunky. This needs time. Great persistence on the finish although the oak is prominent. Has great potential.
