August 28, 2020 - A red fruit driven floral nose with just a hint of cumin and leather. There is some sweetness to accentuate the fruitiness of the nose. On the palate, it exhibited more tea and floral notes. Fresh and elegant on the medium-bodied structure. Not much depth but the fruit forward personality will be attractive to many. Transition to finish is smooth with some chalky tannins still. It is so approachable and drinkable now.
On the second day, the nose and palate gained added depth and persistence of earthy spices and smoky tobacco. To increase score by 2 pts to 90 pts. -

March 14, 2017 - Fine $12 Dry Creek Merlot. Mid-ruby; blackberry, oak nose; mid-body; balanced; tight tannins; a little hot (14.3 alc); long fruity finish. Good food wine.
