April 23, 2024 - Nose of honeysuckle and sea spray. The whole thing remains restrained.

Tight mouth, with mineral and saline acidity. The wine is linear, concentrated. The juice is not yet released, it is still timid, laser cut. Flavors of lemon meringue sprinkled with sea salt. Good finale where the honeysuckle comes to the fore.

Very good Chassagne but which does not fully deliver.

April 21, 2024 - Two weeks in France; 4/12/2024-4/24/2024: One for the road before we left Champagne at L'Assiette. Very typical PYCM - ripe mix of tropical and citrus fruit but completely outclassed by the stunning Dureuil-Janthial.

November 17, 2022 - Pale yellow in colour, the aromas show mineral, sea salt, crushed rocks, quarry dust and a touch of beesting that rises to honeysuckle, lemon zest, dry chalk earth and oyster shell.
A tight entry with a saline-edge mineral acidity gives terrific freshness. Very linear, up and down, the wine has no width but tremendous focus with a superb laser-like acidity that strikes through the heart of the wine.
Flavours of lemon cream, spice and pastry flecks with lemon meringue pie. Good depth; the wine shows a little development with honeysuckle but has enough extract for the long term. Excellent persistence on the back palate; this is a pure, upright wine.

October 16, 2022 - At Troquet with Mark and Raj. I really enjoyed this wine - had many of the elements I really like in white burgundy: the melon, the citrus, the pseudosmoke, a little powdered candy, great acid, and a long finish. Really enjoyed this.
