March 24, 2021 - A rare tasty Meritage. Plum brown color, soft nose. Soft first taste opening into a surprising complex mix of currants, dark cherries, tabacco, hint of licorice. Slow earthy finish, long linger with a noticable earthy flavor of cab franc distinctive.

August 29, 2020 - I was excited to try this wine after a few years resting in the cellar, however i found that the wine had started its decline. It must have reached its height back in 2018, and begun to fall apart after that. Acidity was completely gone, tannins were flat, flavours of plum, dark chocolate, cherry, chassis, however still with a hint of unripe fruit. The wine at this point had the classic cold growing region purity, with little fading strength, much like a young wet vintage wine at this point. Nose was unmistakably Burrowing owl, chard french oak, grass, dark fruit. Overall i was expecting more after years of proper cellering, if you got em drink them now before it gets worse.

December 17, 2017 - A good wine tasting of roasted vegetables, pepper and baking spices. The cabernet sauvignon comes through more as the wine opens up and the cab franc is also more noticeable than the merlot.

Probably not going to mature and evolve overtime.

August 19, 2017 - This was another wine that we probably enjoyed a bit to early, but it did have fruit, depth of earth and a decent finish with light tannins.

November 22, 2016 - Currant, cherry and vanilla nose. Rich and toasty flavours. Long vanilla oak finish.
