September 19, 2020 - A blend of Sangiovese, Primitivo, Syrah. Garnet fading to orange/rose rim. Excellent clarity, definite legs. Day 1, distinct aromas of cherry: black, sour, just cherry. Followed by red raspberry, clove. On the palate, meat and a bit of smoke joined in. Day 2, red fruits remained, but eucalyptus aromas became apparent, too. And on the palate, the meat, smoke strengthened and just a hint of leather as well. The finish was long and texture polished/smooth. Medium plus body, medium minus acidity. The wine's evolution added to complexity. At $32 with tax & shipping, QPR is average. Drink now or in 2021.
