February 13, 2021 - Expressive nose of cherry, red fruit, rose petals, some red flowers. Heady palate, with acidity and tannis of Nebbiolo, which shocked some Piedmont newbies at the table after this was served after the Ridge Monte Bello 2011. I thought it was quite nice. Good aromatic intensity as always with Bruno Rocca. Interestingly enough, showed better than the 2016 I recently had.

November 27, 2020 - Muted but promising perfumary nose. Dry with still taut acidity and tannins, but with more evolution and depth than the other Rocca bottles.

November 25, 2020 - Pale garnet,pronounced red cherry,tomato leaf,fennel,cinnamon,dried fruit,smoke,coffee,leather,tobacco,dry,high acidity,chalky medium(+) tannin,high alcohol,medium(+) body,long finish,very good wine,suitable for bottle ageing

October 11, 2020 - Das ist superschön! Jugendlich in der Farbe. Dichte, druckvolle Nase nach Rosenblättern, Himbeeren, Weichseln, Sommertrüffeln, getrockneten Steinpilzen, etwas rauchig im Finale. Junger Barbaresco in Perfektion!

July 12, 2020 - HOLD. They've been changing the style of the wine from a more modern leaning drop to a more traditional one. That said, this is really tightly coiled, and full of the fruit, acid and tannin that will reward, doubly, or more, if held for at least five more years. For my palate, I'd love to see this in ten or more years. If you've got several, consider yourself pretty lucky. HOLD, drink thru 2037+. highly recommended
