July 9, 2023 - Enjoyed at L'Expression in Beaune, I was familiar with Jean-Luc and Eric Burguet's Gevrey-Chambertin's, but this was my first time getting the chance to try their Vosne-Romanée. With nine years of maturity behind it, this wine felt like it was in a great spot as a light body, coupled with subtle spices on the upfront, paved the way for well integrated oak, red cherries and a hint of vanilla. Elegant, complex and drinking far above its value, this is one of the better premier cru Vosne-Romanée's I've had the chance to taste.
