December 29, 2019 - Wow, drinking great right now, no decant. Also no formal notes, sorry, opened for a group and all thought it tasted “special”
April 28, 2019 - Burgundy Dinner with the Chevaliers du Tastevin (Chez Mike, East Greenbush, NY): [Pop & pour.] Impressive for a base Chablis. Good richness and acidity. Excellent balance. Eminently drinkable.
July 11, 2018 - Light gold color. From the list at Monello; Drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. I was quite impressed with this for a base bottle Chablis. Excellent typicity with more character than a lot of 1er cru Chablis. This had all the aromatic seashore you could want with oyster and brine, tart citrus, medium plus body and impressive length. The depth, ripeness and concentration of the vintage shines through. 91+pts.
March 3, 2018 - Notes constantes. PNP - bon , frais, facile et toujours bon.
February 5, 2018 - Blinds (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. A little high-toned with some aldehydic Sharpie marker on the nose. There's also a touch of white pineapple on the nose. Almost certainly old world, I was thinking that this was something like a Muscadet, thanks to a little bit of leesiness and waxiness. Fairly neutral, with good acidity and a nice bit of minerality as well.
February 2, 2018 - Citron, miel au nez. Une bele attaque, bouche fraîche, vive, franche, assez ronde et équilibrée, très beau village.
January 11, 2018 - Ditto previous notes.
January 4, 2018 - Encore une excellente bouteille. Notes constantes.
January 1, 2018 - Not bad for a village wine. but tastes a little unripe when compared to the premier cru bottlings from this outstanding producer.
December 29, 2017 - PnP. The nose overwhelms with minerality. The palate shows some green apple, and lots of minerality, wrapped in a really acidic, mouth cleansing, medium bodied wine. Benefitted from some air throughout dinner. The wine can be summed up in one word -- austere. Will probably hold up for several more years.
