    January 5, 2020 - Had with friends.
Really strong nose lots of meat smoke, dark blue and black fruit, olive
Palate was similar dark fruit, olive brine, meat, iron
Finish was long, good structure and has years to go, but approachable enough at this point

January 5, 2020 - Nose opens up nicely. Tons of olive brine, beef drippings, mesquite jerky, with violets, on top of dark currants and blueberries. Shows a lot of freshness on the palate, which I love, but it has solid tannic structure, too. Plums, blackberry and blueberry, the fruit has density, but also a crunchy edge. Complex elements of iron, blood, beef brisket, and lots of black and green olives. Gorgeous stuff. I'd love to see this in three or four more years, but I thought it was quite expressive, and not too dense even this young.

December 29, 2019 - Decanted an hour and consumed over two nights. Much more approachable than I thought it would be and it didn’t evolve much with the air time. Fairly bright and lively.

June 14, 2019 - 1 hr decant. May need more time- not like a Napa syrah nor Rhône. Have one bottle left, will hold for 2-3 more years to see how it develops.

December 18, 2018 - The least popular of a 6-wine night: 87, 88, 89, 89 around the table. Decanted two hours ahead and tried it over two more hours, it not only didn't get better, it fell off. At $150 it was a terrible waste of money. I have been on their waiting list for four years, if I finally get an allocation I don't plan to take it.
