August 8, 2023 - Crisp and minerally, plenty of acidity ten years on. Good amount of wood but is fully integrated. Background of nuts and wood spice. Fairly lean and some nice green apple flavours lingering.

April 25, 2022 - The nose is so fresh and inviting. Beautiful fresh meadow flowers, spiced bruised apple, lemon peel, even some drfied kiwi. Leesey notes with vanilla strike the midpalate along with nougat and sesame. Mineral layered texture, lick of limestone on the back half. Crazy expressive. Still tense and precise. Probably riding its peak but should be enjoyable for a few more years. Probably one of my favorite new world chards.

February 10, 2022 - I really think this is the best Ontario Chardonnay I've ever had. It pours light straw in the glass with light touches of green. The nose is lifted and complex showing cold cream, flinty reduction, crushed rock, mint, toasted cashew, candied lime peel, white flowers, and white currant. The palate is also just lovely entering of the sweet bright fruit turning to bright medium plus acid. If there is a knock against this wine the finish turns a touch tart and sour with a bitter/sour green grape skin note, however this is somewhat counterbalanced by enjoyable cashew and cream notes.

December 5, 2021 - No indication at all of oxidation with this 8 years later. Pale, elegant, very Chablis like. Reliably one of the best chards made in this country vintage to vintage.

October 25, 2020 - Quite surprised at how good this is. Reminds me more of a Sauvignon Blanc than Chardonnay. Crisp and fruity with good minerality.
