I have opened bottles like this, that needed a day to open and show their exotic tangy fruit profile. Decant and be patient 18.25<18.75.

Needs a decant and then followed over 4 hours, by which time the acid spine has tightened the palate. Nose remains a touch exotic for me, orange peel and spicy oak overlay, subtle pear and yellow stone fruit also present. It’s a food wine. Loved it with porchetta.   September 5, 2019 - Floral bouquet. Spicey/zesty on the palate with just a hint of minerality peeking out but a strong acidic backbone. Beautiful deep yellow colour. Nice heaviness/weight in the mouth. I completely agree with others who note that at this young age, this wine requires some air and time to let the oak blow off a little. Decanting may be a prudent choice. I am sure this will age well for 5 years at least.

Underneath it all there are rich yellow stone fruits, ripe citrus and tangy orange peel. The classy RP&F oak sits over all else at the finish. I suspect this bottle may be atypical. Stay tuned. Day two, hardness has gone, the wine has tightened up and the citrus peel to the finish is more mandarin, oily and exotic. I will reload and definitely decant on opening.
