December 22, 2016 - Posiblemente el albillo más fino donde Maite busca un vino delineado y armonico sin renunciar al terroir.
Notas claramente frutales, muy limpio, pera y manzana. No hay pieles u oxidación como en otros vinos de la zona, otra via.
La parte más mineral del vino sale poco a poco, suelo. Hierbas aromáticas. Frescura y algo de queso muy sutil.
La boca posee volumen, de nuevo con un control exquisito. Profundidad y transparencia. Largo. Se bebe rápido y muy bien.
Fue perfecto con una tosta de pastrami. En un par de años puede haber una evolución interesante.
Por sacarle algún defecto quizás peque de algo de personlidad o diferenciación, en cata a ciegas sería complicado situarlo como un albillo.

August 15, 2016 - Unlike the fresh, crisp Bernabeleva Navaherreros, this wine was much softer and richer, due in large part to aging in French oak. That isn’t to say there weren’t still some refreshing notes – lemon/lime, pineapple, and melon were present – but on the palate these took a backseat to fuller flavours of ripe apple/pear, cinnamon, vanilla, toast, hay, butter, and honey. An interesting hint of pungent cheese appeared as the evening wore on, and the finish provided an delicious sense of apple strudel. The body was notable with a creamy mouthfeel and balanced acidity. It actually reminded me quite a bit of the Zapata Cantena Alta Chardonnay I had a while back – rich and full without overwhelming. You have to hand it to producers like this who are willing to forego the commercially safer varietals and remain tied firmly to their roots (often with outstanding results)!
