July 9, 2018 - 89 for now, 90+ if laid down for 2+ years. Wonderful Cava from huge Rioja house Muga. Two years on its lees gives a depth and richness, and three years in bottle has integrated it.
Nose: Full of waxed lemons, bit like new plastic in the sun, with lots of yeasty buttery biscuits dough.
Palate: Big mouthfeel, vibrant acidity (could lay down a few more years), big lemon juice presence, slightly tropical, very fresh yeasty but well integrated. Just lacks a little bit of complexity for higher ⭐.
Long yeasty finish, highly recommend for £12! -
