November 10, 2020 - Pleasant enough Amarone.....no stewed fruit or raisining noted where others at 10 years of age can seriously reflect that tendency. The fruit is still dark, strong and sweet, the mouth feel is quite supple with no edges to it. I would have liked to see how this bottle played out along the evening but I was driven to make a big pot of home made red sauce so I sacrificed a good portion of this bottle to the cause. I'll probably regret that later........

December 11, 2018 - Intense ruby color, raspberry and dark cherries with a lingering finish.

August 27, 2017 - Deep dark burgundy. Full bodied
Meaty. Lots of old wold characteristics. Oak. Hay. Barnyard
Excellent bottle. Well balanced. Too young now. Will get better with age for sure.

    Great bottle to cellar.

August 10, 2017 - Earthy, briary notes on opening, dark fruit/cassis, plum, maybe some black olive tapenade on entry with a hint of raisin. Deep fruit flavor, very smooth texture on the palate, mid to heavy weight in the mouth. In an excellent drinking window as I speak. Beautiful powdery tannins integrated very well with the deep blackberry fruit on its wonderful medium length ending, with almost a perfect acidity to back it all up. The slight raisin up front on opening, completely disappears with time and on the back end is non-existent. This is a very nice Amarone. My wife who usually doesn't like them asked for a refill tonight! That says something. This is a very smooth drinker, great with any heavy red Italian cuisine or beef/game.
